parkman - 'intranet for the Holiday Park industry'

'parkman' was founded in 2007 by Tim Bone and Geelong IT experts Dean Swan and Nathan Fletcher. Its arrival came from the need to have much clearer communications between personnel in BIG4 Anglesea Holiday Park. Now 5 years on the internal management system has been extensively relied upon by BIG4 Anglesea and from 2009 BIG4 Bellarine Holiday Park.

It has been enhanced to allow other parks to purchase a blank version of 'Parkman' so they can build their own intranet.

parkman operates 3 main functions,

1) document storage - Policies, Systems and procedures, templates etc.

2) an action book - maintenance log – to do list

3) an internal message system. This internal communications channel alleviates the communication issues that Holiday Parks deal with on a day to day basis. Anyone with access has the ability to send a message to one, or all of the other personnel involved in the park.

As parkman is a web based program it can be accessed from anywhere with any device. Computer, ipad or smartphone, management and staff can be on the go and at all times checking on messages, tasks outstanding or even look up your fire emergency plan on the run!
